If the capacity required exceeds the technical and financial limits of direct evaporation systems, then water-based systems are used. TOSHIBA, the market leader in Japan, is now launching its sophisticated HEAT PUMP / CHILLER with the environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant in Europe.

The successful UNIVERSAL SMART X series of units was developed especially for the European market. Note 1: Supply water temperature no higher than 35°C in cooling mode and no lower than 20°C in heating operation is permitted up to 1 hour after start-up. The supply water temperature must then lie within the operating range after that. A bypass line should be used to regulate the temperature, if necessary.
Note 2: For heat pump models only. -20°C applies to 180 kW heating capacity.
Note 3: The hot water supply water temperature is restricted according to the outdoor air temperature.
Note 4: The water temperature regulation range can be greater if the cooling load is low.
Note 5: The system capacity cannot be guaranteed for a -20°C and -25°C outdoor air temperature. Please note that the system capacity can be impaired by external factors (such as drifting snow, environmental influences, etc.) even if the outdoor
air temperature is within the operating range specified above.
