A new or renovated house with an air-to-water heat pump

The ESTIA air-to-water heat pump both blends in seamlessly in new builds and renovation projects, guaranteeing efficient and reliable performance.

  • New builds

Heating with an ESTIA air-to-water heat pump is one of the most environmentally friendly and cheapest heating options available. There is a great deal of freedom right from when you start planning to heat your new home with a heat pump. You don't need to include space to store fuel and all the pipework needed to heat your hot water can be taken into account when planning the building. The ESTIA All-in-One allows domestic hot water to be heated and prepared in one unit and is highly suited to all modern heating circuits with low supply water temperatures.

  • Renovation

An ESTIA air-to-water heat pump is also ideally suited for renovation measures in old buildings. With an existing domestic hot water heating system, a heating system replacement is not a problem in principle. It can generally be installed in one day and the existing radiators can continue to be used. Combination with conventional, existing heating systems is also possible.

*Standard outside temperature: Please add declaration, e.g.:
The standard outside temperature is the lowest two-day average which is achieved 10 times in 20 years. This is therefore the approximate coldest temperature which has to be used for calculations when designing heating systems.

All-in-One

All-in-One

The ESTIA All-in-One allows domestic hot water to be heated and prepared in one unit and is highly suited to all modern heating circuits with low supply water temperatures.

Heat pump with Hydrobox

The Hydrobox from TOSHIBA is a part of the air-to-water heat pump and is used in heating and cooling systems. This technology uses the surrounding air as an energy source for heating or cooling by recovering or radiating the thermal energy contained in it. The Hydrobox is intended as a hydraulic interface between the outdoor unit of the heat pump and the water circuit of the house – be it for underfloor heating, radiators, or for hot water preparation.

Heat pump for preparing domestic hot water

You can operate hot water heat pumps independently from your heating system, meaning that the heat pump is limited to preparing your hot water. This means that the heating system does not have to be in operation, particularly during the summer months.

Domestic hot water heat pumps are only intended to provide hot water, but cannot generate any energy for heating. Domestic hot water heat pumps have their own water tank, generally with a capacity of around 270 – 300 liters; there are also models with up to 500 liters of net capacity.

One or two
zone system

Zone selection

Different heating systems require different supply water temperatures. For a radiator, for example, the supply water temperature required is significantly higher than for underfloor heating. In this case, a two-zone system is required, while if only one supply water temperature is needed, then one zone is sufficient.

4kW –
16 kW

Size/consumption definition

The different kilowatt (kW) levels of heat pumps reflect their efficiency and adaptability to different requirements and conditions. The range of TOSHIBA air-to-water heat pump products spans 4 kW to 16 kW heat pumps.
