The 4-in-1-module concept translates to maximum reliability and redundancy
The 4-in-1 module-in-module concept guarantees maximum operational safety and reliability and failsafe operation thanks to four separate refrigeration circuits. Each circuit has an inverter-controlled TOSHIBA twin rotary compressor and two refrigerant-air heat exchangers – two circuits share one refrigerant-water heat exchanger.
However, it does not always have to be a dramatic failure of a circuit – after all, defrosting in heating operation or periodic maintenance of the units are part of the day-to-day operation of a heat pump.
A USX system responds confidently even in these standard situations. The circuits are defrosted alternately – only the circuit to be defrosted stops, while the other three circuits of a module continue to produce hot water (continuous heating). This means there is no need for an additional buffer tank.
Only a small part of the overall system is temporarily taken out of service for the duration of maintenance work. This is unique to TOSHIBA.
