At the end of 2021, a heating system replacement was carried out in the Baden district during the renovation of a single-family home that had been fitted with gas heating when it was constructed in 2001. The most important thing to the owner was that the alternative type of heating was a sustainable and efficient way of harnessing energy. An air-to-water heat pump, often simply known as an ESTIA air source heat pump, was an environmentally friendly and flexible solution. Alongside the environmental aspect, it combines a number of benefits, notably low-cost heating and the small amount of space the system takes up.

Air source heat pumps work just as well with radiators as with underfloor heating and can be used for both heating and cooling. A 1-zone underfloor heating system was installed in this house.
