The market town of Paternion is conveniently located close to the Tauern freeway, making it the perfect location for a specialized transshipment warehouse for the highly sensitive cargos shipped by KSK Transport u. Logistik GmbH. The distribution of medication, liquid food for hospitals, and high-tech electronic components (also for the medical sector) are is all managed here. Besides a 900 m² transshipment hall, the premises include offices as well as a technical services room and social room.

Reliability and efficiency

EBA Cooling owner and managing director Alexander Ebenwalder knew from his experience with several special projects over the previous years that he would be able to rely on the core TOSHIBA values of reliability and efficiency. Using the easy-to-use Selection Tool software, he created two redundant systems precisely tailored to the customer's requirements from the pool of components for the 2-pipe VRF system. In the case of indoor units for the extremely sensitive main area – the large transshipment hall with its truck delivery gates which are isolated from the outdoor atmosphere – the decision was made to opt for a combination of six suspended ceiling units and two 4-way cassettes.

Hot water preparation and sustainability included

The high-wall unit design, tried-and-tested millions of times over, was chosen for the office, social, and technical rooms due to their inconspicuous and simple installation as well as quiet operation and straightforward operation. Alexander Ebenwalder also deployed an extremely practical additional benefit of the VRF: "Many operators simply don't know that this system is able to prepare hot water extremely efficiently. It was immediately apparent to me that this was a perfect application for an MT-HWM (Mid-Temperature Hot Water Module)."
