Air conditioning technology for snowboard fashion retailer

Blue Tomato, a trendy snowboard fashion retailer, has long been a highly regarded fixture in the European board sport scene. To live up to this reputation, a particular emphasis was placed on the ambiance and interior quality when the first store was opened in the mecca of sports, Innsbruck.

An air conditioning concept was developed and the installation work for this was carried out at the site in Anichstrasse, in the center of Innsbruck's main shopping quarter. Based on this positive experience, Blue Tomato decided in 2017 to invest in upgrading the system and a TOSHIBA VRF system with ceiling and cassette units was installed by Edmund Sparer Klima & Kältetechnik GmbH. The installation of the outdoor part posed a particular challenge in this stylish project and after in-depth consulting from a specialist company, this was placed on the roof of the building wing. Innovative air conditioning solutions sometimes mean leaving the limits of the store!
