The almost horseshoe-shaped architecture of the new PADO center houses severel shops, including nine shops that have been equipped with TOSHIBA devices, on a total area of over 20,400 m². Right from the start, the concept is provided for air conditioning for the hot summer months and should also be able to heat the shops during cold winters.

The nine shops offer customers a mix of branches that couldn´t be diverse: Sporting goods, a paper and stationery discount, exclusive lingerie, optics, pharmacy, a full range of furnishings and home accessories, and much more. So it is easy to imagine that every shop has individual requirements for climate, design and control options.

“In order to be able to consider all individual wishes, I decided to use 17 outdoor units and 69 indoor units. With a conscientious design based on the standard outside temperature, a monovalent heating is also no problem for the TOSHIBA VRF systems, ”so project manager Dominik Zach from CAVERION Austria. The highly compact mini VRF systems used for the smaller shops also consistently cover both requirements: a comfortable climate in summer and cozy warmth in winter. Seven independent RAV / Light Commercial systems were used for technology and server rooms, which have been convincing for many years and in literally hundreds of critical applications.

The VRF systems also work extremely well when the integration of external heat exchangers is required: some of the PADO shops support the air conditioning with air curtains over the entrance areas, which are supplied with ventilation kits from TOSHIBA. The control options were also individually tailored. From the simplest possible local control via comfort cable remote control to TOSHIBA's Smart Manager, in which, for example, timer and energy-saving functions and set-back functions are possible.
