Traditional Company in a New Guise
The flagship store of Miller Optics Wörgl is located in a prominent position in downtown Innsbruck; as the second oldest branch of the successful Tyrolean family-owned company, it lies close to the heart of the management team. This was one reason that so much emphasis was placed during the complete refurbishment of the premises in 2017 on creating a sophisticated room ambiance. Another important aspect, realized to the highest standards by shopfitters Shop Crea, was to use sustainable materials and adopt a distinctive approach to styling. To achieve these objectives, the specialists at Edmund Sparer Klima & Kältetechnik installed a combined air-conditioning and ventilation system, which included an adapted duct unit as an air curtain.
To maintain constant conditions on the first floor, a TOSHIBA heat exchanger rated at 1000m3/h was installed. The supply air is blown directly into the duct units, which can then precondition the air as well.
The second floor required a customized approach, as the lines were able to be laid directly in the false ceiling in the first floor. A joint decision was taken to install console units. The supply air and used air were not a problem, as the store has enough windows for ventilation purposes.
